Welcome to Butterflies Class!
Butterflies marks the start of our Key Stage 1 journey, where children begin transitioning from the EYFS framework to the Year 1 National Curriculum. We encourage independence and confidence in learning.
Phonics continues into Phase 5 using the Little Wandle scheme, building on skills from Nursery and Reception in preparation for the Year 1 phonics screening.
Our curriculum features exciting topics enriched by trips and visitors, such as a midwife visit, Ely Toy Museum, and a seaside trip to Wells beach. Children also take part in the KS1 and EYFS Nativity, showcasing their speaking and performance skills.
