Dragonflies

Welcome to Dragonflies class - we are so excited to share all our learning with you. In Dragonflies, we focus on providing the children with experiences that will inspire and challenge, creating memories that will stay with them as they transition to secondary school.

We cover a variety of sensational engaging topics that help us to prepare the children for their final steps in primary education, and unlock their potential. Building on the essential foundation skills in reading, writing and maths, we support children to consolidate their learning and, through challenge, achieve mastery of the end of year key skills. Alongside this, we utilise our amazing local area to further enhance children’s experiences and extend their learning through educational trips such as The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, The Zoology Museum, The Fitzwilliam Museum and much more! We also encourage the children to develop their teamwork, resilience and confidence beyond the classroom through exceptional experiences such as outdoor residential trips, specialist music teaching (with their own guitar for the year!), attendance at local sporting competitions, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing at the O2 and our renowned end of year production!
